After a two-year pandemic hiatus, the City of Point Arena is excited to announce the return of the Annual Point Arena Independence Weekend Celebration!!

STREET FAIR & FIREWORKS INFORMATION
We’re looking forward to the return of the Point Arena Arena Street Fair & Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday at 4pm at Arena Cove!! The following info will help you make the most of the event.
SAFETY: Please no pets. No weapons. No alcohol. Backpacks are allowed for blankets, etc. Water is allowed (no glass bottles). Emergency responders and law enforcement will be on site.
PARKING: available at the “rock wall” lot at Arena Cove starting at 2pm until filled. There is no parking on Port Road. Once the lot is filled, Port Road is closed to vehicular traffic. More parking is available at City Hall and the high school. Parking is $10 per vehicle, which includes a shuttle ride and one entry ticket.
EVENT: gates open at 4pm. Admission is $10 per person, 12 and under is free. This is a cash-only event. The City will have a small “ATM” in the green shed at the Cove, but it’s best to bring cash with you. There are real ATM’s at Redwood Credit Union and the liquor store.
MUSIC: one of the highlights of the event, this year’s live music includes La Gente SF, Soul Shake, The Saltines, with DJ Smerf in between sets.
KIDS: 2 bouncy houses, rock painting, face painting, games, light-up toys, candy and more!
FOOD: Vendors will have, among other things, fish tacos, tamales, burritos, lumpia, hot dogs, frybread, Brazilian BBQ, acai bowls, clam chowder, pizza slices, chips and more!
DRINKS: Vendors will have sodas, water, lemonade and beer and wine will be available.
CRAFTS: Aendors will have clothing and jewelry booths.
SILENT AUCTION: a fundraiser to help Jeff Hillier meet his medical expenses will be at the Cove.
BOATHOUSE: From 5:30 to 7:30, Arena Cove Stewards will host folks at the “boathouse” building to build support for its acquisition.
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE SHOW!!!

Saturday, July 6 – Street Fair & Fireworks Extravaganza

Come early and stay late for the Street Fair at Arena Cove.  Festivities kick off at 4:00 pm with food, bands, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, and entertainment.  The Fireworks Extravaganza by Devastating Pyrotechnics will explode into the night sky starting at dark!

New Year’s Eve
The Saltines
Plus DJ Smurf

$ 10.00 General Admission — Children under 12 free

Parking for the street fair and fireworks will be available at City Hall and Point Arena High School.  No on-street parking is available on Port Road. Parking includes shuttle buses running from 4:00pm until 11:00pm and one adult admission voucher!

VOLUNTEERS: An event of this size runs on volunteers.  Please consider helping make this event a success.  Volunteers will receive free admission and a special t-shirt. Please contact City Hall at 707-882-2122 to sign up.

Sunday, July 3– Downtown Parade

The Annual Downtown Parade steps off at noon on Main Street.  Groups are welcomed to join the parade.  Since this is a family-friendly parade, we ask you to keep things classy, safe, and fun.
