Street Fair & Fireworks Extravaganza
Saturday July 1 @ Arena Cove

The most highly anticipated event on the South Coast – the Point Arena Fireworks Extravaganza – will occur July 1, 2023! Join us for food, fun and the largest display of fireworks in the region! Come early and stay late for the Street Fair at Arena Cove. Festivities kick off at 4:00 pm with food, bands, arts and crafts, kids’ activities, and live music. The Fireworks Extravaganza by Pyro Spectaculars will explode into the night sky starting at dark!

This year’s band lineup includes:

HOW TO HELP

VOLUNTEERS: An event of this size runs on volunteers. Please consider helping make this event a success. Volunteers will receive free admission and a t-shirt. Please contact City Hall at 707-882-2122 to sign up.

VENDORS: Food and craft vendor spots are available for the Street Fair on July 1. Download vendor application or contact City Hall at 707-882-2122.

We all know how important this event is to the South Coast economically. To keep this important event going, we need your financial help. Every year the event is funded in part by donations from generous individuals, organizations and local businesses.

Our goal this year is to raise $15,000 to cover the cost of the pyrotechnics.

Any profit the City makes is put in the Pier Replacement and Rehabilitation Fund.

Parking for the street fair and fireworks will be available at City Hall and Point Arena High School. No on-street parking is available on Port Road. Parking includes shuttle buses running from 4:00pm until 11:00pm.

STREET FAIR & FIREWORKS INFORMATION

We’re looking forward to the return of the Point Arena Arena Street Fair & Fireworks Extravaganza on Saturday July 1 at 4pm at Arena Cove!! The following info will help you make the most of the event.

SAFETY: Please no pets. No weapons. No alcohol. No drones. Backpacks are allowed for blankets, etc. Water is allowed (no glass bottles). Emergency responders and law enforcement will be on site. Flashlights walking shoes. Stay away from bluff. Expect trraffic at Iverson / Main

PARKING & ROAD CLOSURES: Available at the “rock wall” lot at Arena Cove starting at 3pm until filled. Vehicles are required to wait until pedestrian traffic has cleared Port Road after fireworks, Once the lot is filled, Port Road is closed to vehicular traffic. More parking is available at City Hall and the high school. Parking is $10 per vehicle, which includes a shuttle ride. There is absolutely no parking on Iverson & Port Roads.

EVENT: Gates open at 4pm. Admission is $10 per person, 12 and under is free. This is a cash-only event. The City will have a small “ATM” onsite, but it’s best to bring cash with you. There are ATM’s at Redwood Credit Union and the liquor store.

MUSIC: One of the highlights of the event, this year’s live music includes Finians Call; Boonfire; Funkosaurus; and Aaron Borowitz and the Golden Chanterelles.

KIDS: Bouncy house, rock painting, face painting, games, light-up toys, candy and more!

FOOD: Vendors will have fish tacos, tamales, burritos, frybread, gyros, Chinese, clam chowder, pizza slices, chips and more!

DRINKS: Vendors will have sodas, boba, water, and lemonade. Beer, wine and hard cider will be available.

ARTS & CRAFTS: Vendors hand-made art, jewelry, clothing, and children’s toys.

PETS/ANIMALS: Leave your pets at home; there will be no entry to the event with animals. Please do not leave dogs locked in cars during the event.
