CALL AND NOTICE OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Point Arena on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the following officers:
Two (2) Members of the Point Arena City Council, each for a full term of four years.
The nomination period for these offices begins on Monday, July 13, 2026, and closes on Friday, August 7, 2026, at noon.
If nomination papers for an eligible incumbent City Councilmember are not filed by the close of the nomination period, the nomination period for that office will be extended until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at noon, for candidates other than the incumbent.
Nomination information and candidate filing materials may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, 451 School Street, Point Arena, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, or at other times by appointment.

If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, appointment to the elective office may be made as prescribed by Section 10229 of the California Elections Code.
The polls will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.
